Experience

Attention to detail is a product decision

Every small part of an experience is communicating something. Is it what you intend?

Language matters.

If you are responsible for an applicant tracking system, please make sure it never asks for a candidate’s “correct race/ethnicity.” Native speakers hear the connotation immediately. In that context, the word is inappropriate.

I reached out to the company. I hoped for two things: a response, and a change.

This is the same muscle I use in product specs. Word choice is not decoration. It is system behavior. If a form, empty state, or error message would embarrass you in a user interview, it does not belong in production—regardless of how far down the funnel it sits.
