Situation
Event programs are operational documents that also have to look like the organization on stage. Clients needed design, layout, and production that could survive print deadlines.
Constraint
Print is unforgiving. Hierarchy, ads, and schedules have to fit a physical signature.
Decision
I designed, laid out, and produced program books for multiple clients, including Music for All (Indianapolis).
Outcome
The work earned industry award recognition for Music for All.
What I would do again
Treat the program as a product: wayfinding for an audience under time pressure, not a decorative PDF.
What I would change
I would archive a production checklist (bleed, fonts, ad specs) as the reusable spec, instead of reconstructing it per event.
